Herbarium Specimen

An herbarium specimen consists of a pressed and dried plant specimen, mounted on heavy, archival quality herbarium paper (41.3 X 29.2 cm / 16.5 X 11.5 in), with an herbarium label affixed to the lower right-hand corner. Each herbarium specimens serves as an official record of the occurrence of that species at the reported location.
